“War of Internet Addiction” is a 64 minute machinima produced entirely from within World of Warcraft. It is a bold statement from the Chinese game community who collaborated to speak out and send a message to Chinese authorities over their frustration regarding the crack-down of the World of Warcraft game in early 2010.

Based on the storyline, 100 gamers congregated on the game platform, performed with their virtual characters in the game setting and captured all the video game screenshots from this lengthy process. Completing the 64-minute video game movie took 3 months – zero costs except for broadband, electricity bills, and lots of cigarettes.
